Card Making with Glen Hall

This week we had visiting artist Glen Hall come along and show us how to make beautiful cards with textiles. Glen's workshops were popular with the group members and many beautiful cards were created.

Each time we do a new activity I discover more about the talents of our group! Erica is a skilled and talented embroiderer she is also a talented card maker! 

Chris, Kelly and Ben

Ben joined us this week and made a card for is mum. It was great to have Ben's smiling face back amongst us. Hopefully he will join us again. 
Chris always prefers to stick to her painting.  This week she created a number of small works which she has already framed.

Veronica is also an accomplished sewer as are Jean and Georgia. 
Allie comes along with her carer, she is a young lady with disabilities who loves bangles! Every week she agrees to paint the following week, but always manages to paint a bangle too! This week Allie created a card a beautifully colourful painting complete with sequins and of course another bangle!

It was a pleasure having Glen along. The group enjoyed her contribution very much and we all look forward to seeing her again.  Thank you Glen.

The End of February

The group continues to grow. This week we discussed the possibility of running a stall at an arts market in the coming months. We will be making table mats, jewelery cards and other items for this enterprise.

Painting at the Salvos

We have been painting plant pots over recent weeks to donate to the Salvation Army for sale at their forthcoming garage sale. The Salvos are one of our in kind support groups, we run our Monday art group from their premises.

Christine is an accomplished painter, she has her own very distinctive style. Her brushstrokes are confident and she creates some remarkable portraits and abstract works!
